Default 2008 TBW Throttle Sticking

&nbsp\\;
Hi everyone,
&nbsp\\;Need some HD Forum wisdom, changed my 2008 FLHX grips out to the Willie G skulls. Nice looking very easy to do. Maybe too easy! My throttle is sticking just a bit. Checked the sensor seems to be OK. Drives me crazy.[:@]&nbsp\\;Can't seem to get rid of it.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Any suggestions? Should&nbsp\\;I lube the&nbsp\\;grip flange?&nbsp\\;Lube the grip?&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,

Sorry dude.&nbsp\\; NO help here.&nbsp\\; I changed out grips on my 08 egc and have had no problems.&nbsp\\; ONly thing I can think of is make sure the gears between the grip and the sensor are meshed properly and check your throttle lock.

reset your throttle- turn on and off for four times- thirty seconds each time. Make sure the throttle lock wheel is open.

When my 08 ultra was new, the throttle was a little sticky, I put a little squirt of Armor all in the gap,&nbsp\\; that fixxed it.

The twist grip and brake "clamp" assembly&nbsp\\;is too far onto the handlebar.&nbsp\\; Loosen two screws, slide whole assemply to right about 1/8 inch and reclamp.&nbsp\\; Should cure the problem.&nbsp\\; ...&nbsp\\; BC

Thanks,
Had the same problem on my 07 RG. Turns out when the stealer put my bars on they forgot to remove the price tag from the right hand side. One corner eventually flipped over and started to drag on the throttle grip.

I don't know if those are one or even if this is true. But when I bought my 08 and was looking at grips because I have big hands the dealer told me that only a couple of models could currently be used because of the TBW.

make sure you did not put them on too tight. You should have a little side to side play in the grip.
