Default CLEARVIEW 2nds...

I was wondering if anyone here has bought one of Clearview windshield closeouts/blemished windshields? Can these minor scratches be buffed out?

Most likely you will never even be able to FIND them. They are that minor.

I bought a Clearview blem, RG06. I can't see the scratches it was described to have. I'm very happy with the shield.

I bought a Clearview blem a month ago. I could find the light scratch, if I really tried...when I first unwrapped it. And for those who wonder if the recurve causes a "distorted view" - I just posted some pics through the sheild while riding. Album: Skyline Drive

I bought a blem and couldn't find the defect. It looked perfect to me.

However, I am over 50 years old and I wear reading glasses. LOL

He will tell you where the blem is on the shield. Said mine was near the mounting tabs. When i got it i looked for it for a few seconds then gave up and installed it. He is a perfectionist if he thinks my shield had a blemish. I would have gladly paid full price for mine.

where do you find these clearview blem deals? My friend had some boxes fall on his roadglide's windshield in the garage and cracked his stocker...so he's in the market for a good deal.

Thanks.

http://clearviewshields.com/shop/manufacturer.php?id=9

At the bottom of the page you will see View Available Inventory, this is where you will find the blemished shields.

I bought one off of a member here and could not find the blem. I bought another directly from Clearview and found the blem. A very small surface scratch. And I had to hold it up to bright light to see it. It is no more than everyday use would cause anyway.
