Default Need help quick please

I checked on my 1550 upgrade just now and the mechanic and s writer showed me the bike without the cylinders. It seems the connecting rods are a little stiff on the crank and not just flopping over real easy. They say the crank and or bearings are questionable as the rods should just flop real easy esp with 50k miles. They say maybe 100 miles maybe 30000 they dont know. Is it true ????should i 1550 it or just reassemble it and sell?????

Is there any material in the oil? Something that looks like wear metals. I think I saw your post earlier and you mentioned some noise. Could this be your noise?

Can't answer the motor questions, not my thing. But I wouldn't make a rush decision and regret it either way.

I don't think you will be helping the trade in to be honest.

I just did my '99 FLHTCI, at 42000 miles and the front rod was a little "stiff" as well. I went ahead with the build, and haven't had any problems. You cant rebuild the crank, so if it bothers you, the alternative is to replace the crank. I thought about it, and they offer a stroker crank for $699 (23728-07A) but I figured the bike is running OK for now.

This seems to be a common thing with this according to the shop that bored my jugs.

Why are some of the rods stiff? SW says the bushings are brass and something likely must have ran through the motor(oil pump) to score or casue the stiffness. To be hones I'd bet it would be fine but now the seed is planted if you know what i mean
