Default Electra Gllide convert to Road Glide??

Will the Road Glide fairing fit the E Glide? Are the forks etc the same?

Yes, the forks are the same. There are some guys that have done it. I converted my old 1990 Electra Glide Ultra to a tour glide a few years ago. Very similiar conversion. Do a search on V twin forum, there is a guy who converted his and took alot of pics along the way.

Default Electra Glide to Road Glide

I in January I converted by 08 Street Glide batwing to a Road Glide faring. The conversion was easy, just time consuming (I spent about 18 hours on the project). The front end is the same. The gauges are the same. The frame is the same and includes holes for the inner fairing support bracket.

All that is needed for this conversion is a parts manual, service manual, some basic tools and patience.

I have a parts list if you are interested. Cost for parts was around $1700, which includes the painted outer fairing.

Dang, I am surprised there are any bikes left that have not been converted. Once you ride a RG you can never go back to those other bikes.

Road Glide is an E Glide with a fixed fairing.
