Default Lost Key fob Stealer wants $70 plus..WTF!

I lost my key fob over the weekend for my 09 EG Classic and dealer wants $40 for key fob and I have minimum 2 keys at $13 a piece plus their service guy has to program the fob, an additional $40 or so since they charge a minimum of half hour. Is that rip off or what?
anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to have to set off the alarm manually every time...

You have to pay for the phob and they have to hook it up to the computer to program it to work on the bike if'n I remember right.

im sorry i know it sucks losing stuff but what do you expect them to give you everything for nothin because you lost the fob you should know better than that. if your going to have that type of an alarm i would invest in a $3 dollor belt clip actully i think there cheaper than that and it stays on your belt i use 1 and i have never lost my keys.
i dont know but thats just me

$28.56 at Zanotti's for the fob, have a good locksmith cut your keys.

let me get this straight...you want a dealer to sell you a part AND do labor on your bike for $70.00 and you're complaining about it?...

My wife lost a Fob to her car and the dealer wanted about the same for a new one. Damn dealers should provide free loss replacements for life as I'm sure the factory give them to the dealer and pays the tech to program them - sheesh!

Once you get you FOB, you should program a security code so you won't ever need a FOB. Just key in your security code through your turn signals.
