Default Need to Move My Ultra Trunk Backward

My wife would like a little more room to move around and the backrest on the trunk crowds her a bit. I noticed that there are kits to move the trunk back on 2008 and earlier Ultras but nothing so far for the 2009. Does anyone out there know of anyone selling kits to do this or have any other ideas??? Thank You.

I'm not sure if George Anderson has it for the 09 models. He has em for the earlier models, and I can highly recommend him. Great guy, great product, and everything fit perfect. My wife is so much happier now, words can't express it. Just gives her the options of moving around and providing alot more wiggle room. Very comfortable for her. She says this is the best option I've put on the bike.... I don't have his info right at my fingertips, but if you need it, just PM me and I'll dig it up. I would think a search for "George Anderson" would give you a quick hit here on the FORUM. There's a lot of guys that have gone this route.

It looks like it is, yes. I looked last night after I was told by Mean City Cycles that it has two positions. There are a couple of ribs/vents that fit into the frame that holds the trunk up and it looks like the trunk would move forward about an inch but not back any further.

Installed George's kit on my 06 UC and wife loves extra room. George is a good guy, he was out of town when I placed my order. He called to let me know that my kit was going to ship that afternoon after his daughter or niece got home from school. He sounded so upset that he couldn't ship it that morning, talk about customer service and great product too.

I pulled out the liner, unbolted the box from the rack, slid the box back to where the wife wanted it, and drilled new holes in the box. Re-mounted the rack, a little silicone in the old holes, slapped the liner back in, and ta-daa! Cost me exactly $0.00, and a half hour of my time. The wife's very happy.
