Default Anyone running Wild1 576's or 577 bagger apes?

Hey guys,

I am between the Wild1 577(12.5") and the 576(14") bagger bars for my Ultra. I was wondering if anyone here is running either of these bars and if you are do you wish you had gotten the other? Any pics would be greatly appreciated as well. I had a set of 572's(14") on a Roadglide and I really did like them but I just can't seem to make my mind up about which one to go with this time. My ultra will be used for alot of trips and consecutive 500+ mile days so I need to keep it as practical as possible. I have a medical condition where my hands hurt if they are below my heart(nueropathy) so I am more comfortable when they are level or above my heart. The 12" bars will be level and 14's will get it just above so I'll be good with either one as far as that is concerned. Any advice/tips/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just finished putting the 576's on my 05 EGS. Still have too connect controls and cables. I sat on the bike and they feel and look awesome. I'll let you know when get a chance to finish and ride. I'll try to attach a pic.

thanks guys. I'm still on the fence. I'll probably have to think about it for a few days to make a decision.

Yeah, its tough to figure out the correct bars. I talked to the owner of a local custom bike shop here and asked his advice. He told me it took him 6 different sets of bars before he finally found what he liked on his personal bike. I spent quite a bit of time riding down the road holding my hands at different heights trying to figure out where I wanted them. May sound stupid, but I would put my bike in a wheel dock and sit on it, feet on the floorboards, and with my eyes closed, put my hands out in front of me and move them to where I felt the most comfortable. Moved them down from that point...no way, yuk! Moved them up from that point...no way, yuk! That most comfortable position for me ended up being just at the top of the fairing, about the height that the fairing pouches mount at. So, for me that meant 12.5 or 13 inch bars.

Good luck deciding.

well I've thought about it over night and have decided on the 14's. They will be level with my shoulders so hopefully no tickets in Sturgis.

Default wild one bars

I have chubby 575 wild ones on my street glide. They are very comfortable to me!
