Default Replaced handlebars, now bike won't start

After I put on new Klockwerk Ergo back bars my CUSE4 will not start! I did not disconect the battery or pull the fuse. (probably a mistake!) Everything works but wont start. Checked the fuses. Does it have something to do with the security. Searching for suggestions. Thanks, Chris

Most likely you pinched a wire putting the switch assemblies back together. Easy enough to do and if you did, you can actually cut a wire in two.

First and easiest thing to check is the security. Does it go off when moving the bike even if disengaged by fob? If so, try resetting per manual. If that does not solve it, remove the right side handlebar thingamajig and check the starter switch wires and the off/run switch wires.

yep to what Dalton said. I did it on my 99, no security system on that old girl. Didn't cut it in two, but pinched it enough to expose the bare wire and ground out on the bars.

+ what Dalton said ~ lossen the clamp on the start switch side and try again if it cranks then you pinched a wire.

If you have a volt meter, check voltage at the switch and make sure the ground is connected. If no fuse is blown that is a good indication the ground is loose or not connected.

Also I had one wire that pulled out on the ignition block. It wasn't visable to the eye but when I pulled on all of the wires it fell out.
