Default Loose ignition switch? Anybody have any ideas?

Hey guys, I took the bike out for a spin and it stalled out on me. It started back up and had no problems until I pulled into a restaurant and it happened again. I then started playing with the ignition switch giving it a very slight nudge and it turned off again. It appears that it somehow is losing contact when it's in the ignition mode. Could there be something loose in the switch like one of the "tumblers" or could the switch just be loose and needs tightening? Just looking for some ideas before I tear into it.

Keep me informed on what the dealer finds out. It might be something very easy.

Do the lights stay on when it shuts down? If not, check for a loose or bad ground connection.

My 96 RK does the same. If I do not make sure that the swith is in the right spot, It will stall out until I get it right. Then it is ok.

I just switched out my bars on my 08 SG and I could tap on the iginition switch and it would go on and off. It ended up being the plug that connects from your lower fairing to to the wiring harness behind the outer fairing. Easiest way without taking apart you iginition is remove you outer fairing and look at your connection at the plug. I believe it is the Red/ Green wire that connects to the iginition switch. Mine was just not quite locked into the connector. Pushed it in and all is good. Hope this helps.
