Default Erratic Idle with PC-V, AT

I'm experiencing a very erratic idle when first starting my '09 SG up while cold. The idle bounces between 2000 rpm and 1000 rpm until it become's warm. After that it idle's fine. This started after I added a set of Woods TW-6-6 cams and Auto Tune to my PC-V. Does anyone have any suggestions on what my problem may be? Thx in advance, Rich

What have you done with the autotune? Have you accepted any trims? Did you upload a new map?

What have you done so far?

When I did the cam change, Jamie from FuelMoto sent me a revised map. I've put on about 300 miles and went back in and accepted the new trims twice. The bike is running great other then this cold erratic idle. Again, after a few miles and warming the engine up, the idle settles at 1000 rpm. It's only erratic after starting up the motor while bone cold....Rich

Sounds like a minor fix. I'd call Jamie at Fuel Moto and they can likely cure your ill very quickly.

make sure your target AFRs are zeroed out at those idle RPM's. also make sure you dont have any start up enrichment enabled in the PCV software. you can also disable the autotune for a specified time after startup or until the engine reaches a certain temperature.

Nope, that didn't do it. At 1000 rpm my Target AFR's were set at 0@0%, 13.8@2%, 13.8@5% and 0 on up. I set everything to 0 at 1000 rpm and the bike started up, ran for 20 seconds and died. I reset 13.8 at 2% and 5% and bike ran fine but the surge is still there. It idled fine after warming up for a minute. I also checked, Accler pmp is not enabled. I appreciate your help. I better throw Jamie a buzz. thx tho.............Richtt

I do not have the autotune and mine does the same thing, only when cold. would be interested in finding a fix for that,if there is one. is there a potential problem with the pcv, being that it is new?. will be changing exhaust again hopefully friday if it arrives along with different map. doubt that will change anything, but we'll see.

mine i've had no trouble with, the pcv, other than the fuel mileage isn't near as good as it was before installing it. and no, i'm not rompin on it any more than before the pcv. i gotta find a map that fits a bit tighter to my mods. oh well. i do like the pcv though a lot. the guys at fuelmoto may have experienced the problem you're having now, and have a remedy. can't hurt to ask.

Eratic idle as in loping back and forth between rpms, surging.

Or eratic as in inconsistent, sometimes idles at one speed, other times idles at another?

Or eratic as in you have to apply throttle to keep it idling?
