Default Harley wrecking yards

What happens to all the wrecked bikes? I was looking for a used cruise control switch a few months ago and went looking for motorcycle wrecking yards. I found tons of yards for Japanese bikes but nothing for Harley's. A friend wrecked his 07 roadglidea few months ago and he got permission to go to the insurance storage yard and take some parts off of his old bike and he said there were rows and rows of wrecked harleys, but I was not able to find a wrecking yard that sells used parts. Anyone know what happens to the wrecked ones? or of a wrecking yard selling not very old Harley parts?

There are a couple of Ebay stores that buy wrecked bikes and part them out....one is called pinwall Cycle Parts.

...Harley's rarely end up being "junked" so you don't usually find them in yards...here in Mass when they crash and get Totaled, or theft recovered after insured has been payed, they get bought at a "salvage auction" by bike shops, used car dealers, snakes who send em overseas, etc., etc ....
