you're not only paying for an oil change. you're also paying for the money they spent to build that million dollar plus building that they are operating out of. look around the next time you're in the showroom, the ceiling, the lighting, the elaborate design and architecture. very appealing till you realize, hmm, this is all paid for by who? yep, you got the picture.

 

When i got my bike it had 11,000 miles. I dont know if it ever got the 10,000 mile service? Now at 15,000. Hd said they would do what was need for booth. Don't know what that is? The also have 15% off on wednesday. Which will save me about $40

 

I had one of the local dealers ask if I had my 1000mi. sevice done on my 09. I said I did it myself. That is part of your warrenty you know. I said no it it'nt. My bike was on a slight incline facing down hill. She reached under it grabbed the belt. It's to tight. I say I have'nt touched it yet and it's in gear on a hill. That does'nt matter. Then asked what I set the cam timing at. ??? Am I missing something? I giggled. This is the owner of the joint no less. Glad I did it myself is all I can say.

 

Some of them not much different than car dealers.

 

i paid 300. last week and they did some stuff that i would have not done. maybe next time ill try it myself. thanks,vinnie
