I have seen some blacked out bikes on this site that look awesome!
Here is the crazy part..
Has anyone ever seen or heard of "whiting out a bike"
Everything white..wheels, forks, engine components etc...anything that can be powder coated white?
We have a local guy with a Heritage that did that, to me it's a bit much but it is different. I'm sure a lot of guys have done it, but I had a buddy who did all chrome, years ago, also again too much for me, but man did that puppy shine in the sunlight.
I think black works because it make the bike look leaner and meaner. All white would make the bike look fatter and milder, think marshmellow man or michilin man.
I've seen a couple of white bikes, and they actually look pretty dang sharp. Saw one up in New Hampshire at their Laconia Bike week, and another down in Daytona. I think it can be done and look very nice. Key for me was having a small amount of color as an accent. One of the bikes I saw did it with vivid red accents throughout the bike, and the other one had silver. Not too much color, just a little touch here and there. The one had the whole front end and wheels done white, with a red strip around the wheels, and a splash of red on the air cleaner, cylinders were white with red accent, and some very minor red pin-striping throughout. They both looked good, even elegant. I'd say it might be a cool thing to do. Go for it and then post up some pictures for us to enjoy. Good Luck.

NOT SURE: But I think that would be politically incorrect? White? this is 2010 you can't say white.
