dealership offered me "WHAT" for trade in
I stopped by 2 harley shops today to trade in my 06' roadking on a 2007 street glide
My bike has rinehart true duals, air cleaner, pcIII, and I get to keep my corbin dual tour seat. Bike has 3200 miles on it
1st dealership wanted my bike + $5000 and I have to pay Maryland tax (5% of purchase)
2nd dealership said they couldnt touch that number and told me to buy it at the 1st place.
What do you guys think?
Option B - sell my bike on ebay and see what i get

forget selling on eBay; monitor the current ads trying to sell similar bikes. I did 6 months ago when I was selling my FatBoy.
I sold mine privately via bike trader.com and paper version; got 2500 more than the highest sell I saw on eBay and $4000 more than the stealer wanted to pay.

Go buy the FLHX, put little/no down. Sell your bike for best retail you can get, pay your note down/off. Even if it takes a month to sell it you are sure to get alot more than the dealer is offering and thus a smaller loss to your bottom line. The really cool thing is that while you are saving some dough you have TWO bikes to play with for a short while. You can also switch some of the bling off your old scoot to your new one while working toward its sale. Wow, i sure do spend YOUR money and plan YOUR life well huh? PARDON ME WHILE I GO STICK MY NOSE BACK IN MY OWN BUSINESS. Have fun whatever you do.

Only use ebay if you need to sell quick or just don't want the hassle of selling on your own. I sold a Sportster on ebay for about 1k more than the dealer would give me or about 1.5k less than what others were asking for the same bike on CycleTrader.
Again, the main advantage for me was the ease of sale - no price negotiation, tire kicking, test ride requests, etc.
