Default 2004 H-D Road Glide FLTRI

Questions guys,

I bought my 16 year old son a road glide but he does not like the shark's mouth fairing.
Does any one know if the shark's mouth fairing can be removed and a batwing fairing installed on this bike????????????

I know it will look simular to a street glide. But oh well...........

First street bike he is stoked.

Any help would be appreciated....

Regards,
David

Storm tell your son to ride it for a while, I know it will grow on him and his friends will be jelous. I own 2 rgs and IMO are one of the best road bikes harley makes.

Dayum!!

Tell that kid to ride it! Fugly's are the best! Wish I had one from time to time. Way better looking than a Street Glide. And they handle so much better!

Give it a little time, he will grow to like it, hell if my pop ever bought me a bike, after I was revived I would be one gone cat. LOL

Are you adopting? I need a good home.

Your son is a lucky guy, he should give the RG a chance. They are like the ugly duckling, given a little attention they can be a swan.

Plus, they have a tendency to grow on you over time.

If he is determined, there are a couple of threads on this forum where people have gone from one style to the next. You might have to sort through some threads to find what you need.

Try removing the clear plastic cover over the headlight like on the SE & 2010 RG. IMO it really makes the shark look a lot better. If I was bought a bike like that I'd just ride it & not complain, changing it over to a batwing will cst you at least a grand if you can find most of the parts used, a lot more if new. The trim piece that replaces the clear cover is only about $10, part # is 73250-10.

Problem is guys dad rides a total custom street glide....

He wants it to look like mine.

This road glide must of been dropped because it red but has a black fairing on it now.

Get him a paint job and some kicking 6X9's in that fairing. He will love it then!
