PhilM,
In your opinion, are the 625 reliable? Thats my main concern. I dont want to be out on the open highway and have to worry about a thing.....or anymore than the usual. Will they stress the engine too much?
Sounds like I'm next in line for your wisdom and advice....

I've talked to the guys @ JD's about it, as well as TR @ TMan. There are a LOT of them out there that have been on the road for a very long time.
For the record, I've only installed them in Baggers ~ and for guys that do log some serious miles.
Get'm & ENJOY!

i have definitely been putting some miles on it and the real world rideability is awesome. the last tank of gas was a great all around indication of the riding behaviors. there was a couple of days of two lane commuting, a 40 mile interstate run, and some sit-and-go on the way to the mall. it behaved flawlessly in all situations and the power is always on tap when asked, down low or on the top end. 0-70 through 3rd gear or 70-100 in 6th gear faster than you can almost process what is going by..lol and yes, it is hard to resist twisting the wick. even through all these conditions and twisting it hard frequently, i still got 40 mpg on that tank of gas. im guessing, but i think a long highway stretch will be close to 50 mpg. we watched it on the dyno with the cruise locked and 60 mph in 5th gear was running about 2700 rpms and 4% throttle. its a great package to say the least.
So, Hurl....
Have ya had a chance to get out & log some miles yet? Being out there in the Carolina's, I know there's some great riding to be done!
Just curious how the rideabily is in the real world & how your fuel economy is. I'm guessing it may still be challenging to resist twisting it up for the thrill, which does influence mileage...
