Default V Rod Engine in a Streetglide?

My buddy and I have built a few choppers and are trying to come up with a new project.

Has anybody seen a V Rod engine in a Touring Bike yet? I know everybody talks about a liquid cooled Touring bike and it seems like it would be the easiest way to make one using all Harley Parts.

It would require a lot of fabrication to make it fit but I think it would be a cool project.

There is a company or two who have been making the "Touring" bodywork for V-Rods for a few years now.

V-mod is one that comes to mind- can't remember the other one.

Yeah... Ive seen those... Seems like it would be more fun to get a V Rod Engine in a Streetglide Frame.

Just wondered if this had already been done.

I have nopt seen a vrod motor in a touring bike frame at any events or shows, I'm thinking you would need to customize the frame and use the stock vrod radiator and housing. I think the Vrod motor is longer front to back than the twin cam (head to head) might not fit ina stock frame with custom mounts..

The frame would have to be extensivly modified, the VROD engine is a lot longer, front to back than the Big Twin. I looked at it once, but it was beyond my ability. It would make an awesome bike. I would love to put a VROD engine in my Ultra.

I think that's a very cool idea. I've never seen one, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done yet.

I've seen the "Road Rod", where the V-rod has a Road Glide fairing and saddlebags mounted. It looks pretty cool in person. I think the tank is a little small for serious touring, however.

I might be wrong but by the time you get done mod the frame It won't look like a street glide. I like the idea just not sure it will work.

The Revolution motor is massive. You'd have to seriously modify the frame to make it fit.

Would be interesting But I just see way to much as far as clearance to make it worth it. Remember our Gas tank is under our seat for a reason and the AirBox is Up top over the engine . This is all because as the others have stated the thing is a Beast .

Now on my V-rod forum there were rumors of a Sighting of a Revo in a full dresser a few years ago but that was it.

Good Luck if you have a go at it , I mean with the Right Tools and Fab equipment almost anything is possible.
