Default Police Electraglide - Garage Door Opener

Anyone know how to wire up garage door opener using the siren amp 18 pin plug. I want to wire to "yelp" switch.

Do you have a transmitter wired on your bike? You have to get a transmitter on your bike that will be activated by your "yelp" switch. This will in turn send a signal to the receiver on your Garage door opener. Harley sells a complete unit or you can do a search on here for other methods that people have performed, such as placing a normal garage transmitter under the fairing and wireing to a push button or to Bright dim switch.

Toss a remote in your pizza box? JMHO, adding electrical components just one more thing that will follow Murphy's Law. Be a real pain if you rode up the driveway expected the door to be opening up and bam!

You would be absolutely amazed at the number of posts related to garage door opener if you look in the DIY sticky. If you get a service manual with wiring diagram, you can wire it up the same way the others do for the high beam switch. Its all detailed in the DIY thread and probably several other garage door threads.

I used the Flash2Pass. It works great and I love it. No more getting of the bike while it is running just to close the door or open it. Opens the door 100ft away. It has two taps that would screw right on to the wires of that yelp switch. Or HD has a door opener that would work. Or you can search the many DIY door opener threads.

Someone would have to be a complete idiot if they ran into a closed garage door.
