chula there are a number of posts on this but the short of it is you take a remote door opener split it open remove the circut board. then solder 2 leads to the button on the backside of the board. then using a momentry switch (i will use the speedo reset button) mounted on my tank dash. connect the 2 wires to the switch. push button door opens!

Never heard of that hook-up before...Thought you needed some current...If it works your way, that's a simpler and easier way....

Are you getting double duty out of the speedo reset button or are you adding another button?

Sounds like a plan....Have any HD part numbers for the switch and rubber cover?
Going out side now and tearing open a spare door opener to see if I can figure the wiring out...
