Default Engine Whistle

Why does my fuel injected engine make a slight whistling noise when I turn it off?

It's a sigh! not a whistle. I believe it's vacuum from the engine.

Sounds like the bearings of the hamster wheel need a bit of grease.

Lots of them chirp through the throttle body when you shut them off.

Normal.

And no, I'm not a dealer.

I find it intersting that my wifes Heritage & my buddy's Heritage both make this whistling sound everytime they shut of thier bikes but my RG has never done this once. I swear I thought someone was whistling at the bike like WOW! that is a cool bike.

Its Normal, it truely truely is normal...mine does the same thing almost everytime. its the compression in a cylinder escaping through a valve that is just ever so slightly open, or, its the valve just beginning to open on the intake stroke sucking air in..in this case an intake valve since it wheezes through the breather, its hillbilly logic man!!
