front brake lever rattle
ive done some searches but cant find the answer. 2006 flhri road king. my front brake lever has started to rattle pretty good at idle. never had a bike do this before. the pin and the clip are like they should be. the lever and the perch are stock items with only 18000 miles. any thing i can adjust, shim.etc to stop this?

ive found that when my clutch lever rattles, i can just adjust the cable on the adjuster on the cable itself to take out some play, doesnt take much. but theis brake lever rattle is a new one on me.

Mine rattles also, but it doesn't bother me...
Thought of shimming between the lever and housing with shim stock cut out like flat washer(s), maybe even a piece of thin gasket material/vinyl/nylon/neo-poly-something-plastic sheet, but haven't gotten around to it yet. You could try a C-clamp to pull the two sides together, but it would be very small amount of movement necessary. And, if you happen to bend them together too much it may just crack the housing, or cause the lever to stick randomly. Gotta be careful when you become the engineer correcting something which may well be an intentionally acceptable part of the original design...
