Default Coverting Rear Signal Lights to...

In the name of being seen better, has anyone here converted their rear signal lights over to also perate as full time marker lights as well. I did it on a Burgman 650 by replacing the two wire socket to a three wire and using the appropriate bulb. They functioned like the front marker/signal lights do now. I'd like more than one light on the rear of my King without adding a bunch of other lights.

There is a part available from Harley p.n. 69461-06b. Basically plug and play.

Auxiliary Brake Light / Running Light / Turn Signal Conversion Kit - Flat Lens Style

I have it on my FLHTPI and it works well. The after market makes them also.

Converted my '09 and the Mrs. states much greater visibility. I will eventually convert to LEDs in the future starting with the rears first. Then the front directional. After that, the headlamps and spot lights.

Ride safe,

Bob.

I installed the HD run/turn/brake controller, takes a minute, straight plug and play. Makes a big difference I think. I also installed the rear fender tri bar that is a run/brake light. Now when braking the brake/turn/tri bar come on. Well worth the cost for a little more safety, and looks cool!!

Glad there's an easier way than with my old Burger. I'll have to look into it. Thanks...

The HD LED rear signal lights can be brake/turn or run/brake /turn.

Stopped by the Stealership and picked up the kit. Took all of about 2 minutes to pull the seat, plug in the module, test and put the seat back on. Easiest damn electrical mod ever short of changing the bulb in a turn signal. Works like a charm. I'll keep the Kury version in mind should this one burn out....
