One thing that is good about the 103 kit is that they use more reliable bearings (Torrington), true and weld the crank, etc.

What's the story on the 120r bearings, crank, etc?
120R has lefty bearing and a forged SE crankshaft with a 4-5/8 stroke. The stock HD crankshaft is cast and a piece of junk. Not that the SE crank is great but the stock one is junk.

I just checked and the clutch has a black spring so i guess that will have to be upgraded too.

i have a d&d fatcat with a wraped performance baffle but i was thinking of selling it and going with a borzilla. Its 1 3/4 versis 1 7/8 primary pipe size.
I forget what the Black spring is, I dont think Rivera list the pounds of pressure for their springs, I went to the AIM gold spring which fits the Rivera, the gold spring at 480 lbs pressure. It held where the 1st spring (silver) could not even be used to tune it slipped so much. Give Rivera a call, you might be ok but if less than 480lbs, get rid if it. I am thinking your going to need the Boarzilla, I think there was a guy that tried the Fatcat and it held the motor back. My D and D has the quiet baffle (quite the oxymoron, not that quiet!)

Ordered the primo gold spring, andrews 31 tooth sprocket to remove some of the gear, and a D&D bosszilla today. Im going to take 1 tooth out of the gearing. I think first gear will be useless with the 120 and the 30 tooth sprocket. It already rev's very quick with the 106 I have now.

Rivera's is 400 and Aims is 480 not sure if that is a big deal. Do you have just the Rivera inner hub or the whole clutch with outer basket?

Default Rivera clutch

I was ready to buy the whole set up but i am finding that the stock clutch with the Aim vpc and gold spring is holding much more than this whole 1000.00 Rivera set up. Could it be that the Rivera does not like the 30+ ounces of oil bath? Way too much money to have slipping problems, they also have a sealed ball bearing in the outer basket for running their clutch dry i would rip those seals out and have the primary oil lube it which they told me to do today when i talked to Rivera and they also told me to run the primary oil low with their clutch, would sure like to get a clutch assembly that worked with a high tq engine when i spend a grand. Several builders are claiming the stock clutch with the AIM vpc and gold spring are holding close to 200 hp so why deal with the Rivera slipping in the oil for all that coin???

I know of a few 124 builds that have a rivera pro clutch and have no isssues. I will find out shortly if it will hold. I also only paid 469.95 for my vpc rivera.
