Default 96 cu in valves

Hey guys,
Are the valves on a 96 cu in motor self adjusting or do you have to manually adjust them ?
Thanks for your comments.

You do not have to adjust them they are self adjusting unless you or somebody has replaced them with solid lifters.

I have a service manual but it doesn't state how to adjust or that they are self adjusting.
Thanks Ischultz
