I put the 254e cams into my 103. I am very happy with them. Picked up almost 15% more torque and hp, but most importantly the torque is there throughout the range. I recommend them for the 103. Running the S/E high-flow and the S/E Fatshots.

Do you have a dyno chart you could post?

Well, as said. The more you read, the more doubt.
Neither choice will be a bad one is the moral of the story.

Pulled a string on it and ordered the SE254e

It will be 2 more weeks till installation.
So a first hand report will follow after that!

I have a feeling these will work well in the stock 103 based on what little I've read. Please give us a thorough report including how much it affected the low-end (below 2500 rpm), better or worse. I hope you will do a dyno run before and after, which will reveal quite a bit.

Sorry, I only have a poor quality printout and it doesn't scan well, but I'll give you some of the highlights.

TQ - 80 @ 2500RPM, 85 @ 3500RPM, 85 @ 4250RPM, 77 @ 5500RPM, 60 @ 6250RPM
HP - 40 @ 2500RPM, 55 @ 3500RPM, 70 @ 4250RPM, 75 @ 5500RPM, 70 @ 6250RPM

That's with the S/E AC and the S/E Fatshots slip-ons. I will try to get a better printout for a scan.

Lots of cams will work just fine. 204s, 255s, TW5, TW6 or TW555, Andrews 37, just about any of these will work very well, pick one and get it tuned and go ride. I like the 204s for the 103 touring bikes, and the 255s for the 96 baggers.

Exhaust and tune are just as critical as the cam choice.

Well I finally got my SE254E cams in but the indy had installed the front cam one tooth out so cam timing was off, ended up dropping of bike at local dealer to sort out and dyno tune, got call today to say it was ready to go, so dropped in to dealer in work truck to pay for it and talk with the tech about it, will be picking her up tomorrow hopefully, i have the dyno print out in front of me but no way to scan it to load up on here so i'll put as much info up as i can, not sure it all means but i'm sure some on here will,

026.drf-21/05/2011 12:50:31 PM Run Type: RO Run Conditions: 85.32*F, 30.00 in-Hg, Humidity: 55%, STD 1.03 CF: STD Smoothing: 5
Max Power= 89.80
Max Torque= 99.70
Torque peaks at 2800 RPM and hold a flat line till 4500 RPM run starts at about 2200 RPM and shows 90 then rises to 99.70 at 2800 RPM, at 5000 RPM it drops off to 95 at 5500 RPM it at 82 and at 6000 RPM its at 74

Power start at 2200 RPM showing 40 then steady rise to peak of 89.80 at 5000 RPM stays flat till 5500 RPM then showing 85 at 6000 RPM

hopefully that makes sence to someone will try to get it scaned so can post the sheet on here, all mods done so far are showing in my signature

Regards
Big Pete

Compareing this with Big Pete's it looks like the fuelmoto headpipe is worth almost another 15fp of torque.
