you know....if Harley ever DOES decide to go all liquid cooled, I hope they embrace it and just go for it...just stick a big 'ol radiator from a 59 Buick on it, chrome the **** out of it, stick it right in front, and start running a slogan like "yeah....it's a radiator...wanna make something of it?"
Then they can hire back Buell who will eventually figure out how to integrate the radiator into the windshield....and maybe Kuryakin will start selling an aftermarket radiator that looks like a chromed cow-catcher.

Harley will go to water cooled engines in order to produce engines with tighter tolerances which are needed to meet more stringent emissions regulations. The engine in the drawing will not meet that need. Why do you think Harley produced the water cooled engine in the V Rod?????? It will eventually make it's way into the rest of the lineup. And that won't be a bad thing.

My thoughts exactly! Why do you think HD came out with the V Rod? It's been a long time coming and the Air Cooled V-Twin has to go by the wayside.

may be wrong but I thought someone told me that the vrod engined was made in europe, not by Harley.
While Harley is at it (playing catch up}, might as well go dual spark plugs, tri or quad valves per cylinder, shaft drive, etc, like everyone else has been doing for 10+ years.
with all the internal problems the twin cam has gotton since coming on the scene, it would be a very weak argument to make if anyone tried to defend the twin cam. compensators, bearing races, cranks, you Name it, and it's it's been broke on just as many new bikes as out of warranty bikes.
