Default Sundowner seat with rider backrest

I have a rider backrest from my street glide seat that I use on my 2011 road king. I want to get the sundowner seat. I love the backrest with my current seat, but since the sundowner seat is thicker, I'm thinking it will place the backrest lower on my back. Anybody using the standard height non-adjustable backrest with their sundowner? Are you happy with this combo?

I do. I put it on for long trips. I remove it and put my solo seat mount in it place for day trips. It won't work for two up for us. So it has limited use.

It was great Vancouver to Sturgis last year!!

Good luck.

I have the sundowner seat on my 11 SG with the adjustable rider back rest. I have my back rest in the lowest position, and it doesn't feel any different than with my stock seat. I think the main difference for me is that the Sundowner seat is a bit wider(way more comfortable), which makes it a little harder to reach the ground. My wife LOVEs the new seat!

I recently put a Sundowner on with my previously installed adjustable HD backrest replacing a stock seat. I had no noticeable change in backrest height. Just a more comfortable a$$.

Sundowner and backrest is a great combo for long range comfort. Personally I like the back rest lower, gives me support where I need it.
