from what I seen on the forum...not a lot of push on doing 103. Seems like 110 and 120 are the next jumping bar. I just ordered a 103 kit , an se compensator, new clutch, some heads to send out for MCR. I know the ROI is low going to 103, but its an easy DIY project if you go with stock parts. I was looking a the SE engine case set, and the 120R complete upgrade kit with the new crank, had they offered it in 110, I probally would have went for it. So I'll ride the 103 for a year or two, and maybe do a 120R in 2 years.

I think you maybe be right about not much interest in the 103 upgrades. I have been doing a lot of research and pricing and i can't much justify what you need to spend for not all that much of an increase in hp/tq as far as i am concerned. A good 103 kit will get you 115-120hp/tq for alittle over 3 grand while 110ci and up is double that just to get alittle over 130hp/tq. Anyways i was wondering about the HPE kit but it seems no one has installed one or just don't want to be bothered to answer my post. Fritz, which 103 did you go with?

I don't think the question is whether you do a 103 or a 110. You're right a 110 is gobs more cash because of the lower end work.
I think most people aren't really interested in a 103 because for the same or not much more money you can have a 107. I ride a 103 because mine came from the factory that way. If I were bumping a 96, I'd be looking really hard at the 107 kits that are plentiful out there. The Fuel Moto 107 is real popular here. I believe they are announcing a second 107 kit too.
If I were to decide to do a kit that required lower end work, I'd jump to 120 CI or larger just like the First Sergeant stated above. No point in messing around with a 110 on my book.

Hemi heads are nice under certain conditions. First, you would have to find a very particular piston for it. Second, if you don't find a particular piston, you might have to add a second spark plug to each cylinder.
Hemi heads are a very good design IF your spark plug is at the top of the cylinder, like the Chrysler hemi. Once you move the plug from the top of the cylinder, you create the strong possibility of not "burning" all of the fuel mixture. This will become very noticeable if you don't find a hemispherical piston.
This is one of the reasons that HD moved to the "bathtub" shaped head.
Well, at least this is what they told me at the holiday inn.
