Default RG Stereo Upgrade - so many options - HELP needed

I've been riding the 2010 RG with a 19" windshield all winter, and the audio is needs to be on max volume to be heard at highway speed. I know when I switch to the 5" shield in the spring the audio is really going to suffer.

I've been reading a bunch of the threads but there are just so many options. I'm not sure whether it's possible, but I'd like to avoid swapping gauges for tweeters, and not have to add speaker lids, etc, etc.

Can I get adequate quality music by just upgrading my two fairing speakers and amp? I'm not expecting reference quality sound, just looking for enough clarity and volume to enjoy the ride with some music.

Any thought on the Arc Audio MPAK, and if so which version (1 -7)? Any other systems which I should consider.

I'm willing to spend some money, but would like to keep it as simple as possible. BTW, if you don't think upgrading the speakers and amp alone will get the job done, let me know and I will rethink the whole project.

i havent done any upgrades to mine yet but i will say this, years ago i could buy a cheap radio and cassette player for a car and buy a 10 dollar 7 band graffic EQ and a couple 6X9 speakers and that cheap radio would sound as good as any out there,, so i would say yes, an amp and speakers would make a lot of difference,,

I would suggest contacting ( Wayne ) forum member Firecap501 and he could best answer your questions about audio system upgrades. I added a ARC amp and 6 1/2" speakers to the front of mine I purchased from him several years ago and have been very pleased with my upgrade.

I appreciated the info. How did you decide on the MPAK 6 vs the other MPAK systems? Does anyone know if fitment in the shark nose will be an issue compared to the batwing?

Not to hi-jack, but did i read it correctly in the Arc 125 that you have to turn off the AVC? I'm looking at the MPAK-6 and would like to here from some who have the 125, if they turned off the AVC.
