Default Turn signal question

Aloha All,
I’m a complete idiot when it comes to electrical stuff, but I slog through it and rely on folks like you to help me with the tough stuff, so I hope someone has some idea what’s going on here.
I put in some led signals recently and had to install a load equalizer to get them working right. They did and all was good with my world. Then I decided to install a strip of leds underneath my hard bags and connect them to the signals. I just expected them to come on when I turned on my signals, but to my surprise they came on as running lights and blinked as signals. That was even better! So what's the problem, you say? My problem is with the turn indicators on the dash they stay on all the time and blink a little brighter when I turn on my signals. You can see the difference ok at night, but it is almost impossible to see during the daylight hours. Any clue how I can fix this?
Mahalo,

wondering if the strips you added are wired between the turn signal hot ( brown Right/ violet Left) and the run light ( blue), rather than the ground.

If so, and not isolated by the "equalizer", you could damage the TSSM ( $$$)

Aloha Landon, it is a Badlands equalizer, I'm not sure why that matters it is working fine with my LEDs. Mike I wired the hot side from the signal wires (brown Right/ violet Left) and the ground to the frame. They blink fine, the indicators on the dash blink too, but from on to a little brighter on. I'm not sure where it's getting power from, any thoughts?

Aloha ahiahi,

I had the same concern that mkguitar brought up and there are some cheap products out there. Not your case, you bought the best. I would contact Badlands if it were mine.
