Default redshift 575 vs. tman 625

Wanting to hear some opinions, I have an ultra that I am putting an s&s 106 big bore kit with ported heads, I was going to put tman 625 cams in it, but have an option of getting a set of redshift 575 cams pretty cheap. very similar duration and cranking compression. but the tman has .050 more lift. Do you think the lift will make a big preformance difference? If I look at head flow charts the flow doesnt increase much with the extra lift. Also with the extra lift how much is durability affected? Another thing is valve train noise, tman claims his will be quiet, what would the redshift cams be like?
I would like to hear some knowledgeable opinions,
Thanks

I just built a 107 using the T man 625 cams, had a 103 with Red Shift 577. Not quit the same as RS575 but... And sorta a apples to oranges comparison... So far I like the 625, they seem to come on @ 2400, My 577 were at 2800 rpm.

Interesting, you have any dyno numbers?

i am running T-Man 625 in my 117" and they are no louder than a stock cam. The power comes on low and keeps going. I like them.

I can't speak to TMAN cams but I've had Redshift 575's in one of my Ultra's with a 103" build - no headwork - and they pulled extremely well. They were a little later coming on between 27-2800 rpm's so I added a +4 degree cam gear which moved the power band a few hundred rpm's to the left (if you're looking at a dyno sheet). If I could find a set of these used for a good price I know what I'd be doing... Just my .02.

you're compression ratio should dictate the better cam for you're application.

Default t-man cams

I have T-man 625 cams in a small 97" street glide, had heads done and tuned running true duals and still got 106/109...can't locate dyno sheet.......it will pull from 2400 to redline and pulls my trailer with all our camping crap and wife with ease...noise is a little louder than stock or my HQ 0034 that were in before.T-man is 70 miles from me great knowledgeable guy.......I'd say do it with T-Man stuff,I smile ear to ear when I ride now.I also went with comp releases as it is @ 10.5.1 comp.

Thumbs up

The calculated cranking compression for both cams is within a pound of each other. The cams are very similar, from what I can see the tman will come on a little sooner and has a fair bit more lift. I'm just looking for some feedback from people that have run these cams. By the way my compression is targeted to be 10.2-10.6 depending on what is best for the cam I choose.
I hope to hear from more of you

Only have 120 miles on it so far, it will be awhile till I have a dyno sheet. I have 10.45 at 200 CCP. Get your compression nailed down to what T man wants you to run w/ the 625 and buy it... As stated it as a BROAD power curve...
