2009 Road King Classic, before and after pics
Well I just finished up Phase I and getting ready to start phase II which will involve the bags and tank getting repainted. It has come a long way since I bought in Dec. I had it torn completely down except the frame, drive train and fuel tank. The bars are custom made. I have to thank Eric from Toxic Choppers, he does some fabulous work.

Nice job, bars are pretty neat looking, very different. Good choice with the cop bags too! Any idea where you got the reflectors from on the bags? I need a set for when I get my DMV inspection every 2 years. I have a set of round ones from Harbor Freight but those actually look like they belong there.

I like it because it is unique - well done. I also changed out the bags from leather to hard and I think it totally changed the bike - for the good. It's amazing how much money we can sink into these things. Just spent some cash on really nice floorboards and 14" Wild1 Apes for the bars. Hopefully I am done with my custom mods. Should get the bike back on Wednesday after the bar install. My plate should say "Money Pit".

They are not motor cross bars. They are hollywood bars that date back to the 40' and 50's that were typical on knuckle and pan. I had this planned out before the softail slim came out. Now those are motor cross bars. I wanted to make this bike look closer to a flh of the 60's and I had never come across any road king with this set up. I think it is a first.
