So I've had the Ultra for 3 weeks now....
OK. It's been 3 weeks since I traded my 10 year old Road King for my 2012 Ultra. Just had to share, spout off, brag, be happy, whatever.
I've been riding a long time. I'm 44, been riding off road since I'm 5, and legally on rode since I'm 16. I've owned a lot of bikes, and riding this Electra Glide is bar none, the best I have felt about a purchase\bike EVER. Heck, I haven't even had buyers remorse yet, LOL.
Seriously though. I cannot stop riding. I'm at work now, and yeah, it's like 70 out and sunny, but all I want to do is ride this thing. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed most bikes I've owned, and REALLY liked my Road King. (Hell, I kept it 10 years, LOL). But this bike is,well, I guess it's even better than I anticipated. I was seriously worried about the "geezer glide" aspect, even after test riding it, but I'm finding it is truly the best of all worlds. It's FANTASTIC, of course, on the highway, and well, as easy to ride around town as anything I've ever owned. Heck, in some instances, it's almost eh, how can I say it, sport bike like, and very easy to ride fast. SO glad in some ways I waited until spring\better weather to pick it up, as I don't know if I could handle just seeing it sit on the garage while the snow fell.
Anyway, just sharing the joy and love of this bike, and riding in general. Here's hoping for another 40 years in the saddle.....
P.S. Happy Easter all!

Just traded '07 Electra Glide Classic for a new Ultra Limited. Loved my old ride, had 86K miles on it, but the new bike is better handling, more power (103 vs. 96), seat is more comfy, etc. Better stock tires, too. Looks pretty much the same but under the skin it is better in several ways.
Dealt with the heat problem by removing the lowers, installing V&H Pro Pipe, and using a Power Vision tuner to tweak the ECM. Downside to all of this: I am more likely to pick up a speeding ticket.
