Default Dealer says don't make elite III tires for my bike???

I have an 08 Street glide and was wanting to put elite III's or commander II's on front and back, If anyone has these on their 08 could you give me the sizes I need, He also said the commanders would be taller and narrower that the harley tires. I really don't want to go narrower. And should I go bias or radial?
Thanks..

I've always run Dunlop 402's on my Fatboy. My last change out I tried Michelin Commander 2's, which one of the police departments in my area run on their skoots. I'll never go back. They seem to grip better in wet conditions and are wearing more evenly. They feel a bit "softer" on the road and are awsome if you have to brake hard.
As per sizing and fitment, you can always go to sights like JP Cycles, look up the tires you're interested in, the check fitment for your model. I usually buy online, then take mine down to a local bike shop and have them mounted and balanced ($35.00 per), then I install myself. Harley dealers will tell you different things because they want to sell you parts they have in stock.
Anyway, good luck

That is most likely correct..

I don't know exactly what year of bike they don't make elite for, but the equivalent is the Dunlop American Elite

I had Elite 3's on my 08 Ultra Classic. They are great tires! They are Bias ply and the size is MT90B-16 Front and MU85B-16 Rear. You won't regret buying these tires. I bought mine from Jakewilson.com On my 2010 RK I replaced the Dunlop 407 Rear and 408 front with American Elite's. They are same as the Elite 3's for 09 and above touring.

The rear size is MU90-16, go on the Dunlop website & you'll see that it is .01 taller & .06 wider despite the different #s, it's a perfect fit. The dealer wants to sell you HD tires.

+1. I bought my rear American Elite from JW last September when it was first released in the US and I couldn't find a better deal.
Back then, JW had $20 off coupons which could be used on tires so I got a heck of a deal.
Even without the coupon, they are still very competitive and their service is top notch.

Ok called Jake Wilson, They only have a 160/80B-16 and the MU90B-16 iin the elite III's and the 150/80-16 and 140/90-16 in the Commander II's for my rear, So my ? is which one of these would be the best fit without really going any narrower that my stock Harley tire and would that 160 fit ok.Would even like to go with the 150 commander as well..
