Default 6th Gear Ratio - RPM

Just curious if the cop bikes have either different trans gear ratio and/or sprocket tooth count. My bike is right at 2800 RPM when cruising at 75 MPH in 6th gear. I would think the cops would want a little more get up and go from the dig rather than top end but I'm not sure

6th gear is meant for "cruising" and best fuel mileage.

If you want to "get up and go", you downshift a gear (or 2 if needed).

Yeah, I know it is. Thats just the gear I noticed my speed at yesterday that was real consistent. My question is really about the ratios of the cop bikes versus the non LEO bikes.

Cops bikes in the twin cam era do not have "special sauce"

Earlier model bikes could be ordered with hi or low compression motors and normal or low ratio gearing or 1,2,3 and R for sidecar combos.

"get up and go"- that's what the gear selector is for.
