Default IDS with 68 tooth pulley on 2007

I did this mod this week and i must say that i am extremely happy. It was a bigger improvement than an air cleaner, 2 into 1 and a power vision tune.

It used to need to be at 75 mph to use 6th effectively and even still it felt like it was lugging. It felt like i needed to be going 90 to get the most out of 6th. Now 6th is good from 60mph on up. The rubber bushings reduce the feel of lugging and the larger pulley obviously increased my torque. It now feels like i am riding a 2010. It reduced my drive to get a cam by at least 50%. I highly recommend this mod.

5th gear is 65mph at 3000 rpm.
6th gear is 75mph at 3000 rpm. 80 is 3200rpm. 70 is about 2700rpm.

I calibrated my speedo with my power vision and gps. I use my power vision as my tach.

Sam, I've got an 07 and IDS with stock pulley, basic stage 1 K&N with Supertrapp SE's from FuelMoto with a FM map in a Power Vision.

What are you running for AC/exhaust? Any other mods?

I have a Screaming Eagle air cleaner and a Patriot Defender 2 into 1 exhaust. I use the Patriot because the baffle is adjustable on the fly from stock volume to straight through baffle. Where I live in Milwaukee loud pipes are every day life but when I go to Dubuque, IA to ride with my dad they have strict laws about loud pipes and hand out tickets daily. I usually set the baffle right in the middle. No other performance mods for me.

speakerfritz - I would highly recommend just doing the 68 tooth by itself to see how you like it. The swap is quite easy. From there you can decide if you want to take the primary apart.

Did you have to change the belt? And do you know how many teeth are on the stock pulley?

No I did not have to change the belt. If fit just fine. There are 66 teeth on the stock pulley.

That's a big change. I went to a 68T on my 07 and it's pretty nice. I may also add a smaller counter but would probably go to a 31. Probably not do it unless I broke a belt or had some other reason to remove primary, etc.
