Default battery tender question

i recently bought a battery tender. lite is red when charging green when charged/floating. if you for instance return from a ride and plug the tender in shouldnt the lite be green?? never used one til now.

Probably not immediately, but it shouldn't take long, like 10-20 minutes before it goes to green.

On mine, Steady Green = Full charge, Flashing Green = >80%, Steady Amber = Charging, Flashing Amber = NOT Charging. Hope this helps.

What lion said. It won't immediately go to green. Mine takes a few minutes before it shows green.

I have the HD battery tender and mine takes a minute or so to get to 80% and a few more to full charge if I plug it in as soon as I get off the bike.

I guess it all depends on how long you leave it idling with the lights on before you shut it off.

Another good reason to use a tender all the time, not just in the off season.
