Default Running over dogs

Fellow down the road has or had a little bull dog. Small body with a great big head. Every day on my way home from work it runs out in the middle of the oil top road. Whether by dodging or slamming on the brakes I had managed to not run over it until this afternoon.
I took my granddaughter for a ride. Dog posted up in front of me and I was afraid to try to dodge with her on the bike with me. So I just ran smack dab over it.
Hated it but little girls out rank dogs every time.

My question is..... How big of a dog does it take to wipe you out.
To be honest I hardly felt anything from the little bull dog.

The average 50 pound mutt can be enough to put you down under the right circumstances. I totally agree with your choice. Dog.....child..... the dog just bought the farm. I try my best to avoid any animal in the road, not for the animals sake, but for my own....

Shame for the Dog!!!!
but bigger shame for the owner, why wasn't his pet safely shut in his yard.
Some people have no respect for their pets.
I keep mine in a locked yard when they go outside the yard they are on a lead.
Wish my next door neighbours would do the same their dog has nearly got hit by me on three different occaisions.
I really don't wanna run over it, but if they keep letting it out to chase my bike it may happen!

OK. I will say it. If you know there could be a dog, why would you ride fast enough where you would kill it. Esp with your grand daughter onboard. And I am not saying the owner is not an idiot...

That's just what I was thinking, sounds like a good excuse to kill the dog. You certainly had motive !...the dog defied you. Funny some cager didn't take him out before this. The dog was probably just playing with you.

Did you change your profile pic to show a dog to try and portray yourself as a dog lover? Something smells fishy. Do you have any witnesses?!?!

Dog owners need to be responsible for their pets.

We have two dogs, and they are on a lead or in the back yard that is fenced.

Ride fast enough to kill it? How slowly does one have to go over a 40lb dog with a 760lb motorcycle to keep from killing it? I think the owner should be charged with negligence.
