Some pics of tall guys on their bikes would help understanding fitment of some of the mods. Glide2005, I would love to see a pic of the air ride cop seat, for example. I have no need for two up seating and have wondered if a solo would give me the leg room I need. (Will check out Russell)
Here ya go. I have sence recovered it with new vinyl and ostrich. The seat raises you up a couple of inches and back a couple from stock, and very comfy on the butt. I also moved the TP up for a back rest and covered to match. I made my own bracket for the TP. I picked up the cop seat and all the hardware on ebay for 100 bux.

Thanks, Glide.
I appreciate the info on position of the seat. The pics really help!

I'll have it tomorrow and I'll go bang out 20-30 quick miles on the freeway and let you know. I also have an adjustable backrest so I can get "taller" by 2-3 inches by moving th backrest all the way forward. I'll relay the buffeting effect from the all the way back position and all the way forward.

Here's a pic... This was with the spacer, the 2 inch brake extender, and reversed adjustable HW pegs. I didn't have the 2 inch forward brackets for the footboards on yet. So just imagine the footboard being up 2 more inches so it's much closer to the brake.

Ill read back but 6'4" 40" inseam and 38" reach wit a size 15 eeee shoe. Regarding the apes I went with 16's and wish I had gone with 18's. My hands aint anywhere neer the hith of my shoulders. Seat hith also affects this ratio. I recommend 18" apes. I went with the Santee high bonanza's. Mainly because they taper down and back. Its at an angle thats comparable to a steering wheel. IMO.

Soft 02, you're right, not sure 18's would put your hands as high as your shoulders.
Thanks for the pic!
I think the lesson here, for me anyway, is do the seat before bars!

Yes! With my LePara bare bones ist almost high enough but with the Mustang seat they are too low. Now I need to install higher risers. Did the bars befor I got the seat.

6'9" 310Lbs
42 Waist 34 inseam
48 or 50 Long Jacket

What I have done so far to my bike is;

Tallboy seat
Wild1 5077 12.5" Bagger Bars
kuryakyn Floor Board spacers
kuryakyn extended brake pedal
HD adjustable Backrest

Not prefect but I can put in a 300 mile day with little worry. If I go much beyond that I start feeling the burn.

Still need a new tour pac extender for the wife and a few things.

I want in on this: 59, 6'6", 235, 38 inch inseam, good sized wingspan.

2012 Limited - and so far, only added a tall boy seat and extended heel and toe shift linkage for comfort. Still considering the best options for some taller bars. Considering something that raises them to about the level of the top of the fairing, but still allows for the heated grips. Once I find a solution here, and maybe a backrest that works with the tall boy seat, I'll be satisfied, since I've come to the conclusion that my knees will never get below the tank, no matter what I do.

Subscribed.
