Default Stage 4

After alot of thought and trying to decide between the 120R engine or a Stage 4, I have decided to go with the stage 4. Currently the bike is an 09 Street Glide, with stage one, HD heavy breather, Rush Big Louie with 2 1/2" baffles. Price will be $4100 out the door after adding true duals, race tuner, dyno etc. This will be using Rush true dual head pipes and existing mufflers and intake. Not bad compared to twice that for the 120R. Yes the 120 at 130hp would be nice, but I can live with 105 to 110 hp on the stage 4 and save myself 4 grand or so. Work will be done week after next and I will post dyno and review.

Nice! Did you go with a two into one exhaust or stay with duals? They told me that it would be above 110 HP with a two into one, but 110 is fine for me and keeping the Big Louie mufflers. Won't be popping wheelies with the wife on the back , but plan on having alot of fun when I am solo.

I suggest talking to one of the tuning specialists who are HDF sponsors. They will be able to supply a cams/CR/ported head package that can yield big results!

Let me tell you something about "money to throw away". I started riding in the early 70's while serving in the military. I was disabled and for awhile there was doubt I would ever be able to ride a bike again (nearly lost my right leg) in the Seabee's. I raised three kids (college paid), retired from my first career, and paid off the mortgage on my home. I then started working again and still work to this day. During those first years (25 of them) to be exact, I never owned another bike. My family and kids always came first in my life. Only after all three of my kids graduated from college, did I "allow" myself a Harley again. It is just a 2009 Street Glide, and even though I draw a pension, a VA disabilty check and a paycheck from my current job every week, I am still pretty damn frugal when it comes to buying something for myself. So maybe when you get to be my age and have raised a family and paid your dues, maybe, just maybe, $4100 might not seem like alot for you to "throw away" . I was probably sweating in the bush before you were even a thought in your parents minds. I have served my country and done my time. With that being said, this "Proud Veteran" is now at the local HD and after I finish my smoke, I am going in and put $4100 on the counter! Can Do, Semper Fi, Hoorah!!!!

Wow dude, he's just saying that $4100 should go WAY further to making a badass bike if you spend it somewhere else and not on some harley branded "performance package"..

We're both saying $4100 should get you a HELL OF A LOT MORE than barely over 100hp.

Agree, the SE kits are pricey.

Fuel Moto can provide a 98 kit , barrels, pistons and gear drive cams with all install kit for $ 1899.00,and with a good tune they have dyno sheets to show 101hp/112tq. If you dont do your own work most Indys will install and tune for $ 1000 so your at less than $ 3000.00 with a gear drive 98 kit from FM !
