Default 1988 Electra Glide FLHTC

I'm going to be looking at buyin this bike an was wondering on what to keep an eye out for and what are some common problems? I'm new to the touring side of Harley and all the help I can get would be awesome. Thanks !!

Tools. You will need lots of tools. And some technical ability. The older bikes are cool. But you will need to be able to to fix it occasionally

Welcome to HDF from the UK. I've owned my 1990 Glide since new and you will find plenty of support from Evo owners over in the Evo section of HDF.

That bike is 25 years old. If it has any decent mileage on it, any of the early problems you may read about will have been done and sorted long ago. Other than checking it over closely for general condition, budget on changing tyres, unless they are recent, and a general service. It is helpful to take a friend along, as a second pair of eyes. Ask about service history, plus the original owner's and any service manuals, as they are very useful to have.

think the 88 has the air forks ,make sure they hold air.or plan on a rebuild.
