Throwing out a wild guess - maybe finding a new scratch or ding that you didn't know was there? I had one of those 'WTF?' moments washing my pickup one time - found where someone had sat something heavy on my hood, then dragged it off, scraping hell out of the paint.

If you keep it clean, then you don't have to wash it!

Seriously, I clean my SG after every ride, using Original Bike Spirits Spray Cleaner & Polish. I would only use water if I got caught in the rain, and then, only to rinse off the road debris in the wheel wells and undercarriage.

Yes. Every time I wash my bike, I get pissed off that the Bee Gees were never punished for their musical crimes against humanity.

I don't wash mine often. I use. They stay and wipe mostly. If it gets real dirty I used. My pressure washer (carefully). I use pig spit, and wax.

Naw! If it gets a rock chip or a scratch here n there that just means its getting ridden , and just adds character to the bike. Ridden ? Is that a word?
