Rode my buddy's Road Glide
Greetings,
My wife and I bought 2 HD Switchbacks a couple of weeks ago. We visited my friend in Upstate NY. He and his wife were interested in seeing our bikes, as they both ride as well. He's got a 2003 V-Rod and 2013 Road Glide, and she's got a 2013 Superglide Custom.
He just had his bike tuned for his Stage 1 on his Road Glide. Anyway, when we got there, they couldn't ride as they were hosting a dinner, but he pulled out his Road Glide and asked if we could swap bikes for a quick hop down the road.
I was a little intimidated due to the size of his bike, but I immediately felt at home on it. I was amazed at how easy it was to pilot for such a big bike. Also, I'm assuming w/ the tuning, the bike was really smooth and felt like it was riding on air. From the pilot's perspective, it was like riding a 1950's Buck Rogers air machine, with all the gauges and dials. I really dug the bike and the experience gave me an appreciation of how well a large bike like this, can handle. I had test ridden a 2014 Road King before buying my bike and found the Road Glide was easier to pilot.
I'm loving my Switchback, but can see a bike like this down the road.
