Default Fuel Moto 107 cams and mileage question

Contemplating doing a FM 107 kit with the level B heads on my 13 Street Glide. Already have the FM 2-1-2 headpipe , 4" dyno tuned mufflers , FM intake and Power Vision tuner. Trying to decide on which cam to get. Currently looking at the TW-555 or TW-777 dyno charts and feel they would get the performance I'm after without sacrificing to much mileage and low RPM manners. Anyone have a similar setup that can share some highway mileage numbers and general recommendations?

MPG is a value that is dictated from the tune and how one rides. I can get 40mpg from my 120r when taking it easy. These variables are different all around.

The 555s aren't a bad cam set, I would pass on the 777s because at that area, there are better. Between the two... and nice to tune... is the TMan 555s. Do NOT look at FM or Woods websites, just like do not look at ANY site (like TMan's etc) that sells the product at hand. Dig up sheets from various tuners and look at THOSE sheets for realistic numbers.

I have about the same build without the porting. Love the 555s...manners are fine and they really come on around 3k rpm. I dropped 2/3 mpg. I get 38/39, but get on it hard consistently. Jamie tuned it in WI. got 120/105 on the dyno sheet.

I have the FM107 kit with the TW-555 cam, FM 2-1-2 header, 4" Rinehart mufflers tuned with a PC-V by Fuel Moto. No head work. I get 41 mpg on the highway riding two up with the cruise set at 75 mph. If I drop the mph to 70, I'll get about 43 mpg.

Dyno grap is attached. There is no lack of torque anywhere. I've had the FM107 kit in my bike for 2 years and 10,000 miles and it's still the single best mod I've done to my bike. 106 HP / 121 TQ

This kit has perfect street manners due to the tuning. No low speed bucking, no surging, no back firing. It's simply well tuned and performs flawlessly.

Good luck with yours.

And as you can see the torque comes on down low where a bagger needs it.

Equandt, That's good information. Thanks. Anyone else with similar upgrades or TW-777 cams?

I'm really liking what I've been reading about the FM 107" kit, this is more than likely in my near future! One thing I'm really after is a nasty idle, I know this may sound silly, but its just how I am! I am also going to give up a few ponies & run a true dual exhaust! I'm planning to have lunch with my Indy this week to make a plan then call FM! Thanks for starting the thread & to all that are contributing!

I'd look at the 888's if you are going to do the heads. All the cams cost about the same, so why not get the one you will eventually want. Bob says it is the best street touring cam he makes. I know it woke my 107 up!
