Default 2014 Limited CVO vs 2011 Road Glide CVO??

Was checking out the torque specs for various models and noticed that in comparing the air cooled vs the liquid cooled things don't make sense??
2013 air cooled limited ultra = 100 ft lb vs 2014 liquid cooled limited ultra = 105.5. An increase of 5.5 ft lb. But the 2011 air cooled Road Glide CVO = 122 ft lb while the 2014 liquid cooled Limited CVO = 115.1 a DECREASE of 6.9 ft lb!!!
WTF??? Any thoughts?

Nope. But it might help if you listed which fasteners these torque specs were for.

What's your source? HD might rate them different than what a magazine measures.
Also, 122 sounds pretty optimistic for a stock bike from what I've read. But then again, it's a shark.

I assume the liquid cooled CVO model uses a different gasket with different crush properties.

All specs with the exception of the 2011 RG CVO were from The HD site. The 2011 RG CVO numbers were posted from multiple sources.

Dribble... I'm talking about engine torque as it relates to horsepower NOT wrench torque for the heads.

I don't think the 2011 and 2014 CVOs changed that much...same engine. This might help
http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...ra.html#/specs
Then scroll down to the Powertrain section.

The numbers you quote are peak numbers and don't give much impression of the shape of the torque curve. The Rushmore engines have different cams and members who have ridden them say they have greatly improved torque throughout the rev range. So it is feasible that the new CVO bikes have less peak torque than the previous models, but may also be much quicker to ride.
