Question Tallboy seat or Sundowner?

im getting alot of lower back soreness from the stock seat on my street glide, i've narrowed my choices down to the Tallboy or the Sundowner.

does anyone have pics of these seats mounted on a street glide?

I have a sundowner on my 2014, it looks just fine with a tourpak or a backrest, but by itself the pass part of the seat looks kinda dumb. But it feels great and i would never change it out, my wife loves it also. the stock street glide seat is horrible for any passenger.

I've used both. I'm 6'3", about 220 (depending on the nearest BBQ festival). I personally didn't like the Tallboy because it had me TOO far back to where I felt like I was reaching for the controls. I agree with rs87277....the sundowner with a backrest is the way I'd go, particularly with lower back pain. If the seat isn't comfortable enough ***-wise, I'd take a look at MeanCityCycles.com. They can beef up your seat......even add a heating element to keep the boys warm.

With a backrest it looks like it should have come on the bike
So much better than stock as far as comfort.

Here is a vote for the Tall Boy, unfortunately until you have the seats on your bike you won't know which one is better. Your size, including length of your arms and torso will be the determining factor. I'm about 6'3 with a 36" inseam and long arms. I have a 13 Ultra and the stock seat for my size was horribly uncomfortable for me. I put my Buddy's SG seat on and it was marginally better, back and slightly lower. My dealer allowed me to take a new Tall Boy home and try it and it absolutely hands down made the bike fit me like a glove. I sit about 2" further back and maybe a 1" lower than stock. I have the non adjustable back rest set as far as it can go and it just touches my back when I begin to slouch. I think it looks great on the Ultra but not sure if would look good on a bike with out a tour pak. Hope this is some help, here are a couple pics.

I have a Tall Boy, I'm 6'2" (I also have 13" apes) Never tried a Sundowner but I love my seat, wouldn't trade it.

My sundowner sat me closer forward, and I'm 5'8". Took a while to brake in for me and never broke in for the old lady. Sold it and bought a hammock, great seat!

I put the Sundowner on my last two Bikes, they give all day riding comfort.

I am to short for the Tall Boy seat, so no comment on how it works.
