Default Lifter and pushrod question

Putting in 110 kit. Have about all done. Need to adjust pushrods. But engine is dry. I have put oil in crankcase. Will the pump prime the lifters back up if I turn the rear wheel a few times in gear by hand or do I need to take lifters back out and pump them full of oil by hand. Thanks

You would have to turn that rear wheel really fast to get it to pump up the lifters. In other words, it won't happen.

I use a small pump oil can with the nozzle pushed against the side hole and pump oil into the lifter until it comes out the center hole in the seat.

Ten four. Wasn't sure if it would or not. Guess I will just take them back out and pump em up.

You can adjust the pushrods with dry lifters.

The spring inside the lifter will keep the plunger to the top. It is weak, but if careful you can adjust them as normal. Won't have to wait for them to bleed off. Once adjusted you can pull the plugs and spin the motor with the starter and pre lube everything and semi pump the lifters up. Why are the lifters dry? New lifters come with oil in them and the ones from the engine unless you took them apart will have oil in them.

I rebuilt the engine. New lifters. I installed the pushrods and adjusted. I didn't feel like I had the resistance I usually have when the lifter is pumped up. So I removed the rods and spun tire about ten times and reinstalled rods. Before I do any cranking I was just concerned if spinning the tire would pump them up or not.
If not I will just pull them out and be sure.

+1.... If there is no oil in the lifter you can push the pushrod down on the lifter cup into the lifter. If there is oil it is almost impossible, hence they have to "bleed down" When adjusting to zero lash use your fingers and visually watch the pushrod cup. Adjust per instructions. Pull plugs, turn bike over till light goes out.
