I have always used Syn3 in my bike. At 29k miles I upgraded my bike to a 103 and upon inspection of the 96 jugs we found the cross hatch marks in the jugs. I can't remember what the numbers were but the compression was still good. From everything I have read on the forums about Syn3 being bad oil I was expecting my top end to be junk but that wasn't the case.

I happen to like Mobil 1 15W-50 in the Engine (5 qt. jug from Wally World) Belray 80W in the Primary and Belray 85W-140 in the Tranny. This works for me and may or may not work for you.

If you're sick and tired of oil threads, then you are spending too much time on these forums. Get off of your computer and get on your bike!

I change every 5000 or once a year. I use synthetic. Currently it is Redline. When I run out it will be a less expensive oil that meets the recommended specifications (mainly because I have to order Redline and I'd rather buy oil locally. I don't have anything bad to say about Redline at all! (I'm thinking Quicksilver found in the marine section at your local walmart.)
