Your owner's manual will give you the best advice as to what weights they recommend based upon the temperature for your location. You can pick your favorite brand of oil and as long as it is up to Harley's specs. As far as I know Harley owners have been running everything except monkey **** in their motors and to the best of my knowledge they all will work. Every swinging Richard has their own personal favorite when it comes to fluids, so you will absolutely never, ever, get a consensus on what is the best or the worst on a motorcycle forum.
Just pick one that meets the motors needs and stick with it until you are convinced that something else will work better or you get bored.

Like others have said, there will always be different opinions. Myself, I use Mobil 1 V Twin 20w-50 synthetic in motor, Harley Formula + in primary, and Mobil synthetic gear lube in tranny.
