I have a Brawler on mine. I am very happy with seating position. In figure to send it to MCC to 'bowl' the rear a little, and soften it up. I've done 275-ish miles in a day on it, and I think making it softer would be what I want to go further and still keep my position. And cool factor lol. I have a Mustang spring solo left over from my Fatboy. Mustang sells a frame cover and hardware kit to put it on my King.... I've actually thought about doing it as my local running set up. I'm back n forth on the idea.

Thanks for all the feedback... Keep them comments and photos coming. I really like that look with the solo seat. As stated on my original post, I am looking to be a bit lowered not so much extra leg room by being place farther back.

I do have another question; How difficult is it to remove the seat? Is it just held by the screw on the fender and a tab under the tank or is there more to it?

as in my other post, some have a bracket that mounts to the fender bolts ( under the seat) and the new seat mounts to that.

tab at the tank.

go take your stock seat off now, and you'll see

another thing that comes to mind is that you air experience will be different esp, if you use a windscreen.

you may want a cut down windscreen if you sit lower, if you are further back the wind eddys may affect you differently.
which you may prefer- or not

update:

I seized on the inspiration to pull the FLHX seat and mount up the solo and the shorter windscreen- one thing i remembered right away is that I do have some extra stress on my old hips when putting feet down/lifting back up.

but i do like the rear brake pedal position

I spent months on months researching solo seats & to make a long story short I went with C & C Seats !!
Like the old saying goes "measure twice & cut once"... Don't keep buyn seats & next season swap it out for another... C&C Seats has this sh*t down pat & they get it right no matter what kind of seat your requesting & interested in.
I love mine & I'm glad I chose them !

Check out legends vintage on line they offer a solo for the king that really lends itself to the nostalgic look of the road king

These seat options are great as I plan to do that - the only thing missing (for me) is a seat rail

How /who does solo seats with rails?

Thanks
